A. How to get the Mobile App

We are using the Thomson Reuters Convene mobile application. This is a new version so you must downlaod the app. Speaker presentations will be available the through the mobile application. To get the app:

2. Sign In
Sign in with Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin or Google 

3. Select the 2016 Legal Marketing Technology Conference
If you received an email notification, enter your code. Otherwise, search for the event in the app.

B. Where to go

Please note that the pre-conference sessions and the conference are at different locations. The graphic below tells you where you should be if you are attending a pre-conference session.


C. Pre-Conference Workshop selection

If you are signed up for pre-conference technology workshops, please take our survey to ensure that you get into the workshops sessions that you'd like.


D. Leave extra time for travel

Important speaker information

Dear Speakers,

Thank you for your participation in our conference.

  • Your presentation slides are due by September 30. Please deliver a digital copy of your slides to Adam Stock (
  • For your convenience we have provided a conference PowerPoint slide template.


  • Introduce speakers. Make sure people know who is talking because context matters.
  • Include “learning outcomes” at the beginning of your talk. These are goals to set expectations about what the audience will leave with after your presentation. It creates clarity for the audience about what you will be covering.
  • Keep visuals simple.
  • Don’t have too many slides.
  • Ensure the size of the font is large enough (at least 16 pt) for everyone in the room to see.
  • Include real world examples.
  • Do not sell from the podium. Attendees come to learn and not be sold to.
  • If there is an opportunity, be interactive with your audience through audience polling, gathering audience questions or ask the audience to share their experience.
  • Leave time for questions.
  • Make sure you know what time you are speaking, and where. Be there ahead of time to address any technical issues.
  • Make sure you have enough content for the allotted time, while also allowing time for questions.
  • Have a run through. Going through your content even only once can have a dramatic impact on the quality of your delivery. Even if you are the best presenter in the world, a rehearsal is a great thing!
